Here's what's happening with us at Transition Troy:
We've had some great discussions about alternate currencies, particularly "Bernal Bucks," a system which comes out of a neighborhood in San Francisco. The Capital District Transition Network has also begun discussions on local exchange systems. Still very much in a discussion and information-gathering stage, so now would be a great time
for any interested parties to get involved.
The topic for our November monthly gathering will be community visioning. Creating and holding a positive vision of the future is vitally important, so that our future is a place and time we are looking forward to with anticipation and pleasure. The date is Sunday,
November 4 2012 with our meeting starting at 4 pm and a fabulous pot luck at 5:30. We meet at the Christ Church United Methodist, 35 State Street in Troy.
Transition Troy is a collection of groups and individuals with a positive vision of a sustainable Troy, acting on that vision and building that future. For more information visit http://transitiontroyny.org or contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (518) 274-6406.
